Tepoztlán

As in the summer of 2006 I went to Cuernavaca just before the beginning of the semester. That time (without having planned it that way) I ended up by going to Taxco and the Caverns of Cacahuamilpa (in my top5 list of rocky formations those caverns are just below the Grand Canyon). The pics of that trip are no longer available since fismat decided not to host my blog.

This time I went to Tepoztlan. It is a small village surrounded by green hills with vertical rocky formations. After eating some quesadillas of mushroms in the traditional market (which is at the main square) , we went to the church and its ex-monastery. This town and the ex-monastery have the same structure than Malinalco (there, the pics are about animals in the Eden, here there are kings with fish-tail!!!). At the entrance there were people making an arch to put it in the main gate of the church made by seeds of about 100 different plants. No pics, but a chafa description.

Then we tried to climb the Tepozteco, which is a hill where at the top there are some pyramids (just as in Malinalco!!!), but it was closed. So I cannot believe your adventure Aura yet.

After our failure we went for some ice cream at "Tepoznieves". I had four balls haha: (I asked for the one of avocado and carrot but it was over blah), then I had some delicious combinations, Cindirella's kiss, tepozteco's kiss, maona and tepozteco's ice cream (which is made of dried fruits and raisins, pretty good).

In the amazing blog of LH there are a couple of pics of the town.
